Fort Edward has a strong commitment to the Community, so it is not surprising that there are many organizations that dedicate their services and time to the Community.

The Religious Community in Fort Edward has been a strong influence since it's inception.  The following Churches are located in Fort Edward, but other denominations are but a short driving distance.

• St. James Episcopal Church
• Saint Joseph's Roman Catholic Church

Other organizations and groups in the area are very Community Oriented and have served our community and residents with many beneficial services.  

For more than 50 years, the Fort Edward Chamber of Commerce has been a community minded organization actively dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in our friendly village and town.

The Fort Edward Lion's Club, in addition to it's chartered purpose brings the Drum and Bugle Corps to Fort Edward each July.  This show features nationally recognized groups from around the Nation and it is held at East Field.

The Idle Hour Club is a private organization that began over 100 years ago.  Located on Roger's Island, the club focuses on many civic orientated activities and are noted for their Clam Bakes.
