at the Old Fort House Museum
| The Schoolhouse Privy is the newest structural exhibit at the museum. This privy was built in the 1930’s and was located at the Lakeville Baptist Church in Cossayuna. The congregation of this church donated this great little building in the spring of 2003 to help us teach children and youth another aspect of |
| life in bygone days. Larmon House Movers of Schuylerville made quick work of removing the privy from the church yard and positioning it in place near the Riverside Schoolhouse. This privy features three seats to accommodate comfortably different sized folks. Early in 2004 we plan to plant a small aromatic garden near this building as would have been used when the building was new. |
