The Village of Fort Edward is located on the Hudson River in Washington County, approximately 50 miles north of Albany, New York. |
The population of the Village is 3,561 and covers an area of approximately 1 Square Mile. The Village of Fort Edward is governed by an Elected Five Member Board which consists of the Mayor and Four Trustees. Terms for all Elected Members are four years.

The Village Planning Board meetings are held on the Third Monday of the Month at 6:30PM
